Welcome

If you or someone you know suffers a life threatening event and dials 999 the ambulance service will despatch a Community First Responder in addition to the ambulance.

Community First Responders do not replace the ambulance but live in your community and can deliver live saving treatment before the ambulance arrives.

Locally there are Community First Responder teams in Alfriston, Hassocks, Peacehaven, Newhaven and Seaford. Between them they have answered thousands of calls and have helped save many lives.

I
n conjunction with South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb) a new team has been established in Lewes and this site is the online meeting point for its members, supporters and anyone else who is interested in the scheme.

As our group is small we are looking for new members so if you would like to join or support us then please contact
mike@lewescfr.org.uk
